Established in 2015, Companio began as an innovative community-supported bakery. Neil & Baneta both studied at the School of Artisan Food in Welbeck, and took over the bakery in December 2019. All breads are sourdoughs, naturally leavened with wild yeasts, and made by hand using traditional methods and natural ingredients. The slow fermentation gives a deeper, richer taste that accentuates the flavours of the flours, grains and seeds.
We are Companio’s only stockists in South Manchester.

Ancoats White Sourdough and sourdough baguettes, Northern Rose Country Sourdough (rye, whole wheat & white flour), Pennine Rye (moist 100% rye and seeded loaf) & Ciabatta (Saturdays only)
