Hard goat’s cheeses are relatively unusual, and a firm creamy cheddar style, even more so. A delightful alternative to cow’s milk, this buttery and fine textured cheese is savoury, with a soft goatiness coming through at the end. Its name comes from the locality to Stewarton, where for many years hats and caps for the Scotts army were made.
