We are looking for Staff for Christmas
We’re looking to work with friendly individuals who love serving customers in order to give them an exceptional experience when visiting our shop in Chorlton, or the market in Altrincham. We are also looking for staff to help at the back of the shop with packing.
No experience is necessary, as full training will be given. However, we’d be interested in hearing about your enthusiasm for food and why you'd like to work with us.

About the roles:
Cheesemonger x 2
We are looking to fill some customer facing positions on a fixed term contract.
Each will work predominantly in either Chorlton or Altrincham though there are occasions where you will swap.
You will need to be available for shifts around from early December through to Christmas Eve or New Years Eve on a rota basis, Monday to Sunday. There will be approximately 18 days over the month.
The shop is open to customers from 9am-5pm, but your overall working day will include shift hours from 7.45am until 6.30pm.
The roles start for induction on 22nd Nov 2026 and run to 2nd January 2027.
Other information:
- Preparation of shop - setting up Cheese counter, re-stocking, cleaning.
- Serving Customers - finding out and fulfilling customer requirements, advising on Cheese and complementary products.
- Cutting and wrapping cheeses & preparing orders
- Assisting with shop opening and closing tasks, daily cleaning and cheese care.
You will be joining an existing team. We can offer a degree of flexibility with shift patterns, but a particular commitment is required as this is our busiest time of year involving many staff members. But please do talk to us if you have any existing commitments, we will help as best we can.
There is an initial induction day then full training will be given on the job. You will be engaged on a Zero hours, fixed term contract. The pay rate will be above National Living wage.
Please note - The shop floor is a temperature and humidity controlled environment, and you will be working at times in low temperatures. You may be asked to work outside also. Outer wear will be provided.
